Her body. Her soul. Her eyes. Her lips. Her smile. Her touch. All the things I craved.
She was a true vision. A real woman.
I had toyed with a number of ideas on how to go about seeing her over the past few days. My patience and ability to keep myself under control was dwindling by the second. But seeing Gemma presented its own issues. Mainly, it was only supposed to be a one night stand sort of deal, and I still wasn’t sure how she would react to me showing back up in her life.
With no plan to move forward with, I was forced to resort to my usual means of release. I took a shower and tried to rub one out in there again. It not only didn’t go well, but it was no use. I was close to having a permanent hardon for her. I had better find her soon or I would never be able to go out into public again… or I would be forced to become a eunuch.
My phone rang. I thought about ignoring the ringer and heading out the door to go for a run. Maybe a long drive into the city. Not to go by Gemma’s. Just a drive. I almost fell into that thought, and started to plan for it, but the phone persisted.
I picked it up and glared at the screen.
Guy’s name and number flashed in an off-white text against a black background.
I sighed and answered. “Yeah?”
“It’s about time you answered. I was beginning to think you fell into a hole,” Guy said.
“Not yet. But the idea is tempting,” I said.
“Well don’t do it yet. Because have I got some news for you!” He was practically yelling into the phone.
“What is that?” I asked, not really caring to know.
“You’ll never guess what—rather who—is on their way to your place,” he said.
I rolled my eyes. “You are kidding me. You didn’t stop her?”
Guy stammered over the other end of the line. “Well, no. I thought you wanted to see her?”
“Why in the world, after everything I have told you, would I want to see Tabitha?” I asked, growling into the phone.
“Well, this is awkward,” he said over the line.
“Guy, I don’t have time for this. If you don’t get to the point, I’m going to hang up,” I said.
“Okay, okay… I was going to keep it a surprise, but she’s on the way to you right now. I almost drove her myself. I got to hand it to you, my man. You sure do know how to pick the headstrong ones.”
“You almost drove that god-forsaken woman to me?” I clenched the phone in my hand, it cracked and creaked in my hand. I sighed and lessened the grip a little.
Guy started laughing. “I’m having a hard time believing you would feel that way toward this particular woman. If you haven’t gotten a clue yet, I’ll give you a hint.”
“I’m listening… but my patience for this is rapidly dissipating,” I said.
“It’snotTabitha.” His words echoed into the line.
I repeated them over and over and over, each time, catching on a little more. It’s not Tabitha. I only spoken to him about two women. So if it wasn’t her then…
My heart raced as the realization dawned on me.
“Are you fucking with me?” I asked, sounding more exicted.
“Of course not,” he said. “And you’re welcome.”
“I’m serious, man. Are you fucking with me?” I asked again.
“Nope. Gemma is on her way. She’s probably about to pull up right now,” he said. “Or here within the next couple of minutes or so.”
I hung up the line without saying another word, then rushed to get dressed. Part of me wondered if this was Guy’s way at delivering a sick joke, but then I had to give him more credit than that. He was a great guy and though he loved to see people laugh and be in a good mood, he wasn’t the type to toy with people’s emotions like that.
