“Why?” I ask.
“Apparently, someone got into the house when no one was there and stole Isabella’s worn underwear from the laundry basket.”
I gasp, “The stalker.”
“Probably. Who else would do something like that?”
“I know Max will be with you if Elle is around. But if Isabella is there, I want you to be extra careful. Promise me. I can’t lose you, baby girl.”
I sigh, “I promise. I’ll be keenly aware of my surroundings.”
“Good girl,” he kisses me on the forehead.
“Now sleep.”

I wake up in the morning feeling refreshed. I don’t think I moved all night long. When I look to my left, I notice the empty bed beside me. So, I get up, put on my robe, and search for my little family. Liam and Ivy are in the kitchen cooking.
Ivy squeals, “We made you breakfast!”
“You did?” I ask excitedly.
“We made blueberry muffins and some fruit, because Liam said you don’t like a heavy breakfast.”
I smile, “He’s right.”
We sit eating, and Ivy says, “Can you eat faster?”
I raise an eyebrow, “Excuse me?”
“I wanna go. I’ve been waiting forever.”
“Go get dressed. Make sure you match. Blues with blues. Reds with reds.”
She rolls her eyes, “I know what match means.”
After she goes to her room, I say, “I might be ready to drop her off at school by noon.”
Liam chuckles, “Today will be good for you two.”
I nod, “Yes, it will be. I’m looking forward to pampering the sassy little Princess.”
“Should I call my dad about Isabella?”
He shakes his head, “I already owe him a favor.”
I wag my finger at him, “No you don’t. He can consider letting Nash live a favor to me. You will never be involved with the shit my dad is, Liam. I won’t allow it. I would never marry one of his thugs.”
“If you want to call your dad then you should. But they have to find proof that it was him.”
“Doesn’t Xander have cameras? What’s better than video proof?”
“The camera feed was cut.”
Ivy comes out wearing a cute red dress with matching red shoes. And the smile on her face is priceless.
“Give me five minutes. I just need to get dressed.”
