They all laughed as they finished off the kitchen. Since their group was growing, they’d put two long couches together in a V so they could all see the TV.

They weren’t twenty minutes into the movie before Chelsea sat up. “Who wants popcorn?”

The women laughed because she did it every time. Several of the girls said they’d eat some.

“I’ll go with you and get drinks,” Jada said. “What do you guys want?”

They called out their orders before she followed Chelsea. Jada got a try with the drinks and then helped her make popcorn. The women cheered when they walked into the room with four bowls of popcorn and the drinks.

“Does anyone know where the men are?” Lindsey asked. “They came through the food line.”

“I saw them go outside,” Lina said.

The movie was about over when the men started to come to get their girls. When she and Zoe were the only ones left, they started picking up the room and taking their garbage out and the bowls to wash.

Savage came.

“Go,” Jada said. “I’ve got this. There are only a few bowls left.”

“Okay. I’ll see you in the morning,” Zoe said before she was led out of the room.

Jada looked around the kitchen to ensure everything was ready for the morning and then looked outside. She saw a few guys but not Titan. She decided to go shower and then get into bed. If he wanted her, he knew where she was.

Jada locked her door and stripped out of her clothing. The hot water against her skin felt so good that she stayed under the shower for a few minutes. It took another five minutes to get her hair dry before she wrapped a towel around her torso. She closed her eyes and prayed Titan was waiting in the bedroom like before. Her hope died, and her disappointment and sadness grew when he wasn’t there. Maybe he was madder than he let on earlier in the day. She didn’t blame him but didn’t like the ups and downs of her emotions.

She put on her panties and nightshirt before turning off the lights and getting into bed. She thought it would take a while to fall asleep, but everything that happened that day was catching up to her.

Jada was the only one who would know she cried herself to sleep.

Chapter Fourteen

Titan made it to his room, disappointed that Jada wasn’t in bed like he wanted. He wasn’t pissed because he’d never said that the room was theirs and not just his. So, she had no idea what he wanted, and there really hadn’t been a chance to talk to her privately all day.

He showered before going to get his woman. Like before, his first glance at her after he broke into her room was the woman he felt more deeply for than anyone in his life. The moon shone on her upper half so he could see everything. She had on a shirt that he would forbid her to wear in their bed. Her skin looked shimmery, and her face looked like a fucking angel, making his heartbeat thud heavily in his chest. Titan picked her up. She blinked a few times and then hummed.

“Shhh, go back to sleep, Babe. I’ll take care of you.”

She sighed and tucked her face under his chin. It was at that moment he knew he loved her. He knew he probably did for days, but that was the moment he admitted it to himself.

In his room, he shut and locked the door before he lay her on the mattress. Before sliding into bed, he stripped off her clothes and the towel he wore. He wanted to wake her in the worst way and fuck her until she couldn’t walk, but he noticed the darkness under her eyes and decided to wait until the morning.

Jada woke him up in the morning as she moved around as she woke. He wrapped an arm around her waist when she tried to move away from him. “Oh, no. You’re not going anywhere.”

She jerked, looked over her shoulder, and looked confused. “Titan?”

“Yeah, Babe. It better not be any other man.”

She shook her head. “I would never do that.”

He kissed her nose. “I know.”

“I can’t believe I didn’t wake up when you carried me in here.”

“You’re tired, Babe. You still have black shadows under your eyes that we’ll work on. I don’t want you drained.”

She snuggled up against him. “I won’t be.”

They were silent for a long time as she lay against him, and his fingers ran up and down her back.
