BRYAN
Iwatch as Beth comes off the elevator. She sees me through the office door and waves before sitting down at her desk. She looks amazing in her green knee-length skirt and white silk blouse with her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail.
I step out of the office and ask, “Did you have any trouble driving this morning?”
She smiles. “No. It was pretty amazing. I don’t know how to thank you for letting me use the car.”
“My pleasure, sweetheart,” I tell her, knowing full well I have no intention of ever taking it back from her. “Did you have breakfast this morning?”
“No, I didn’t have time. I’m fine, though. I’m not hungry.”
I walk back to my office and pick up the breakfast I ordered for her.
“I took the liberty of ordering you some breakfast when I ordered mine. I hope you don’t mind.”
“That’s really nice but you didn’t have to do that.”
“Yes, I did. Everybody needs to eat.” I shrug and return to my office.
As much as I like having her in my sights all day it’s going to be tough to have her so close without touching her. I know I have to try to take things slow with her but that doesn’t stop my dick from getting hard every time she’s in my presence.
Lunchtime comes and goes and she doesn’t leave her desk so I approach her again.
“You didn’t have any lunch?”
“Well, no but you gave me breakfast, so I’m alright.”
“Beth, do you have money for food?”
She looks down at her feet. “Things are going to be a little tight until my first paycheck.”
“Why didn’t you say something?”
“It’s not the company’s job to make exceptions for me.”
“It’s not an exception. I give advances to employees all the time.” It’s not exactly a lie but a bit of an exaggeration. I have done it a time or two.
I go into the office and write her a company check for two thousand dollars. I hand it to her and she turns white as paper.
“This is too much. It’s practically a month’s pay for me after taxes.”
“So? You won’t need to pay it back unless you leave the company. That’s how it works. In the meantime, you need to eat while you wait for the check to clear so let’s take a ride.”
“We’re leaving the office unmanned?”
“We are. Let me show you how to forward our calls to the receptionist downstairs.”
I drove my Mercedes SUV today, and I see her stunned expression as we approach my parking spot.
“How many cars do you have?” she asks.
“A few. There aren’t many things for me to spend my money on, but I do like cars.”
I take her to my favorite lunch spot by the water so she can see the Statue of Liberty up close. I can tell that she’s taken by it. She reminds me of a little kid who is seeing the wonders of the adult world for the first time. Her innocence is definitely part of her allure, and I want to be a part of all of her firsts.
I order our sandwiches and take her for a walk along the river. It’s a perfect day with just a slight breeze coming off the water. She shivers so I wrap my arm around her.
