She was slowly coming around to understanding.

“Yes, humans are the others. They are the minority in this world, they just don’t know it. The supernatural world is vast with hundreds of different types of species.”

She set her cup down on the table between them and sat back on the couch, folding her legs beneath her.

“So you’re telling me that there is more out there than just vampires?”

He leaned back on the sofa, stretching his arms along the back. His mate was in for a mental ride.

“Vampires, shifters, witches, Fae, gargoyles…I could keep going.”

“Sirens?”

His lips turned up in the corner, and he gave a nod.

“Hmm…” Her head tilted to the side while she studied him.

His cock pressed against his pants with his need for her, but that would have to wait until later. Her hair may be disheveled, her dress wrinkled with small splotches of dirt from her struggle with the hunter, but she was still the most beautiful woman in his eyes.

Sorin was proud of the way she was processing the information. Now that the initial shock had worn off, she was absorbing everything.

“I’ve watched a few vampire movies in my day. Can you tolerate sunlight?” she asked.

“That is the one thing the human movies have gotten right over the years.”

She glanced over at the window and pointed. “But what happens when the sun is up? Don’t the rays come in through windows?”

“All of the windows in my casino are treated with a special chemical to protect us from the sun.”

“Oh.”

They sat in a comfortable silence, staring at each other before Athena broke their gaze. She looked around the apartment, taking it all in.

“What is it, my little siren?”

She turned back to him. “I want to know everything.”
