Accidental Groom

As I walk down the aisle to marry a man I don’t love, I hear whispering.

The groom is nowhere in sight.

And in his place… his silver fox father.

Five years ago I agreed to an arranged marriage.

Two wealthy families and one business deal.

To save my younger sister from the same fate.

Duty demands I marry a Highcourt.

Father or son, it makes no difference to me.

Except there’s something forbidden about Mr. Highcourt that makes my breath hitch.

His towering presence.

His stolen glances over my curves.

His restraint to reach out and touch me.
